Global warming is one of the major problems that our
earth is facing these days. It is caused due to the effects of greenhouse
gasses. When heat is returned back to the atmosphere it gets reflected back to
our earth due to the layer formed by the greenhouse gasses. This retains the
heat in the earth and our planet gets warmer day by day.
It also depletes the ozone layer; as a result the
ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun reaches the earth and cause various kinds
of diseases. Global warming is also caused due to human intervene with the
nature. We humans have got so involved in industrialization, that we totally
forgot that nature has its own way of functioning. Urbanization is in favor of
global warming. Scientists believe that by 2050 the earth’s temperature will
rise up to 5 degree Celsius from now.
The huge mass of ice in the north and south poles have
started to melt. Damage and destruction of marine life has been confirmed due
to the rising sea temperature. Rainfall in many parts of the earth is quite irregular.
Temperatures in various places are in extreme condition.
The major causes behind global warming are
deforestation, excessive use of fuels for vehicles and cooking purposes and use
of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides in the field. Alone
political leaders cannot help to chase the threat. We ourselves have to change
our lifestyles. That only can help us to save our earth now.
